    Financial Freedom Classes

    Financial Peace University (FPU)
What could the people of God do for His Kingdom if they were debt-free? Find out the answer to this and other pertinent questions in a Financial Peace University class.

The FPU program is a 10-week video study created by Dave Ramsey that teaches how to apply proven common sense principles that will allow you to walk in financial peace and become debt-free. The cost is $100 for the membership kit.

*Note: When the 10-week program has begun, you are welcome to start in the middle and make up the classes you missed during the next cycle. However in order to get the maximum benefit of the program we recommend taking the classes in order from start to finish, and we don't recommend beginning after the third week.

Check out Dave Ramsey's website for helpful information on Dave and his ministry.

The ABC's Of Long Term Care Planning
    Monday, July 22
    6:30pm  |  Rm 753, Millbrook Campus
A long-term care situation may be the biggest risk to a stable retirement that many of us will face. Join us for a presentation that will review the difference between health care and long-term care and the various options available to cover the cost. We’ll talk about who might want to consider long-term care insurance, the different options available in the marketplace and the pros and cons of each. We will finish with some suggestions about how to develop a plan to address a long-term care situation for you or your loved ones.

For more information, contact Emily Ver Steeg.

    Re-Engineering Retirement
    Tuesday, August 13

    6:30pm  |  Rm 753, Millbrook Campus
Many people look forward to retirement, but for those who are unprepared, the "Golden Years" can be more stressful than enjoyable. In this workshop, a financial professional will show you how to determine your “retirement readiness”, develop a retirement strategy and begin transitioning from accumulation to income. Attendees will learn to identify the three levels of expenses and seven sources of potential income in retirement. We will also discuss five strategies to consider to “bridge the gap” if the numbers don’t add up.

    Financial Mentoring

Trained counselors help people and families evaluate their assets, liabilities, income and expenses. With this information, they are assisted in developing a spending plan to effectively allocate income, faithfully tithe, pay bills in a timely manner, eliminate debt, increase savings and create surpluses for God's kingdom. The resulting peace and growing contentment enable counselees to connect more intimately with God, family, others and the world.

There are two ways to get connected with a Financial Mentor. Fill out the Financial Snapshot form, save it, and then e-mail it to financial.freedom@crossroads.org OR you can complete a Mentor Request Form at our Financial Freedom Ministry table in the Grand Hallway.
