Chuck Milian, Senior Pastor
1. Why did you first come to Crossroads Fellowship?
I was on the original planning team to design and launch the church.
2. How would you describe yourself?
I’m a shy, introverted, self-motivated, creative, ‘doer’, who likes to laugh, read good books, watch movies, and hang out with family and friends.
3. What do you do at Crossroads Fellowship?
I’m the Senior Pastor and I focus on preaching and leadership.
4. What do you consider your specialty?
In ministry, it is the preaching and leadership aspects, in personal life, it is encouraging and problem-solving.
5. What do you bring to your role that people wouldn’t expect?
Experience in the business world and an appreciation for the arts.
6. Best advice you’ve ever received?
2 Things: First, don’t take yourself too seriously. Second, believe in people, expect a lot from them, but give people lots of grace in the journey!
7. What is your favorite sound track?
Sorry, can’t say I have a favorite. I like LOTS of variety in music from classical to rock to funk and will likely like new stuff that comes out later on.
8. What do you look for in a friend?
Loyalty, humility, and a good sense of humor.
9. What was your most recent purchase?
Sinus Buster nasal spray. I know, it isn’t exciting but it does help me with allergies and congestion…especially at night when I sleep!
10. If you could vacation anywhere…where would you go?
I would want to go to Italy with my wife, for the food, the beautiful countryside, and to enjoy the romance of it with her.
11. What has God been showing you lately that has surprised you?
How much He loves me. Just when I think I have it figured out, HE shows me how much bigger HE is than I thought!
12. What is your favorite movie?
Again, can’t list ONE favorite because I LOVE movies of all kinds: action, scfi, mystery, etc. I guess I could say I have 2 favorites that my wife and I watch every year- The Sound of Music and It’s a Wonderful Life. There is one my whole family watches each year- ‘A Christmas Story’.
13. What is one book that has impacted you?
Besides the Bible, for sheer pleasure reading, a series of books by Stephen Lawhead about King Arthur.
14. What is your greatest challenge?
Staying quiet enough, often enough, and long enough, to keep hearing God’s still small voice.
15. What inspires you?
Seeing people ‘come alive spiritually’ and begin to live fully for God in all aspects of their lives.
16. What is something most people don’t know about you?
I’m actually shy and introverted, because I’m on stage preaching, people assume I’m an extrovert.
