Blessed are the Merciful

We so often find it easier to judge others when we feel wronged or slighted, rather than extending understanding and mercy. The Bible defines mercy as the act of withholding deserved punishment. In his sermon, "Blessed are the Merciful," Discipleship and Men's Pastor Robbie Thomas reminds us that we have all been shown great mercy in the forgiveness of our sins through Jesus Christ. Only when we truly grasp the gift we have been given through God's mercy for us, can we in turn show the same compassion and caring to others.
