Deliverance from Fear

On Sunday, we jumped into our second week of our year-long “Threads of Redemption” series with an encouraging message about “Deliverance.” Deliverance is a central theme in Scripture. From Egypt's bondage to the Promised Land's freedom, God's people have repeatedly seen His mighty hand move on their behalf.

In Exodus 14:10-16, we find the Israelites trapped between Pharaoh's army and the Red Sea. Fear gripped their hearts, yet God's instructions through Moses offer timeless truths about deliverance that still speak to us today.

We covered four main points from that passage that you can apply to your life this week:
  1. The Problem We Face – Fear and Uncertainty
  2. The Promise We Stand On – God’s Deliverance
  3. The Power We Trust – God Fights for Us
  4. The Path We Follow – Move Forward in Faith

We must remember that:
  • God is greater than our fears.
  • Deliverance comes when we trust and obey.
  • God’s victory over our enemies is final and complete.

What "Red Sea" are you facing today? Identify it, surrender it to God, and take one step of faith this week. Trust that the same God who delivered Israel still delivers today!

Practical Steps for this Week:
  1. Practice true quiet time each day.
  2. Identify and write down the things that could be causing you fear and doubt.
  3. Prayerfully take a step of faith in those areas.
