Marriage Ministry

Pre-Marriage Mentoring
We are dedicated to helping engaged couples begin their marriage with a Biblical foundation. You will be paired with a more experienced mentor couple who empowers an engaged couple through sharing resources and relational experiences. They are hand selected, well trained couples who are key leaders at Crossroads Fellowship with a heart for marriage and helping couples honor God in their marriage. Completion of the Pre-Marriage Mentoring program is typically required of anyone who is getting married by a Crossroads' Pastor.

Marriage Enrichment Mentoring
The purpose of the Marriage Mentoring Program is to provide appropriate guidance, help, and support to couples who are in need of ministry in their marriage, and in their walks with God. The Marriage Enrichment Mentoring Program is part of a System of Care that uses all the existing support networks within the church.

The Marriage Enrichment Mentoring Program involves a team of Marriage Mentors who are trained and equipped to mentor a couple through a time of difficulty. This team will be hand selected by key leaders based on maturity, experience, spiritual gifting, and desire for ministry. They will be people who are themselves in a small group or fellowship, and who are established members at Crossroads.

Getting married is an exciting time in life and we are very happy to guide you through the process of how Crossroads can be a part of your great day, and help shape the marriage that follows. Crossroads is committed to helping couples enter marriage in a committed and Biblical way.

STEP 1 – Select a Pastor to Officiate Your Ceremony
If you are not using a Crossroad’s Pastor to marry you, but you would like pre-marital counseling through Crossroads or to use our facility, then you must still select a Crossroad’s Pastor to sponsor you through this process. You can contact any of our pastors by phone by calling 919.981.0222.

STEP 2 – Complete A Wedding Questionnaire
Each person getting married must complete a, "Crossroads Wedding Questionnaire," Click Here. The form will be electronically sent to the Pastor you have requested to officiate your wedding, or to your Sponsoring Pastor.

STEP 3 – Secure the Date & Location of the Wedding
If you are planning on using our Church Building on your wedding day, your sponsoring pastor can work with our facilities department to secure a particular room for the ceremony or reception. Contact Debbie Delaney for details.

STEP 4 – Complete a Premarital Counseling Process
All couples getting married at Crossroads are asked to participate in a premarital counseling process. The typical process for this is through our Pre-Marriage Mentoring Team. This is a team of trained mentors who meet with you several times prior to your marriage and often continue this mentoring relationship through the first year of marriage. You must be referred to the pre-marriage mentoring team by your Sponsoring Pastor.
