Special Needs

Our Special Needs Ministry is dedicated to serving those at Crossroads who have special needs. We create a church home environment for people of all ages with special needs; provide support to them and their families; and help families reach our city by sharing how God is at work in their lives.
Our Special Needs Ministry wouldn't be possible without the dedication of church members like Kenny Bores, who volunteers as the Special Needs Ministry Director at Crossroads' Millbrook Campus.

Sunday Mornings

Kids (Ages 6-12)
11am  |  Rm 360, Millbrook Campus

We offer this Sunday School class for children with special needs. We provide a safe environment where each child’s needs are embraced. We help them to learn about Jesus through unique, sensory-integrated activities, such as music, prayer, crafts, and play.

We also provide shadows for children who are able to participate in other classes in their age group, as needed. Learn more about shadow volunteer opportunities below!

Teens and Adults
11am  |  Rm 501, Millbrook Campus

We offer this Sunday School class for people ages 13+ with special needs. This class is a more structured environment involving worship, prayer time, and a Bible lesson with discussion. Our desire is that teens and adults can feel spiritually encouraged and develop their personal relationship with Jesus in a relaxed and safe atmosphere.

We also provide shadows for teens who are able to attend other activities meant for their age group, as needed. Learn more about shadow volunteer opportunities below!

Volunteer Opportunities

We’re looking for fun-loving volunteers to serve our church members who need additional support. We’d love to have you lead a class or take on the role of Shadow Buddy on Sundays during Millbrook's 11am service! No experience or special skills necessary—just a heart for the special needs community.

If you are interested in serving in our Special Needs Ministry, please complete the volunteer application and a background check for the campus you attend. All volunteers must fill out these forms and be in 8th grade at least to apply.
